Introduction:

My name is Sarah McDermott and I am an advanced amateur/hobbyist photographer at Wicked. I have a fun and outrageous personality and I enjoy letting that show throughout my photo sessions!

I've always enjoyed taking snapshots here and there and I realized how interested I was in photography my junior year in high school (2005). That little light box I spent weeks stressing over constructing, turned out to be the best thing that's ever happened to me!  It gave me a different perspective on photography and tested my patience. Nothing is more stressful than changing photo paper in the dark or over-exposing an image. Although it was a pain, I was amused by my little light box and still own it to this day.

Even thoughchanging photo paper in pitch black conditions and processing images in a dark room are not involved in my work today, I learned the basics of photography & how to take a quality photo. That experience alone has only strengthened my passion and allowed me to mature as a photographer over the years. I'm a firm believer in practice makes perfect and I always strive to be the best I can!

I'm proud to say that after years of thinking of what I want to be when I "grow up", I have found my calling! What was once shared on a personal level is now being shared with the world and I couldn't ask for anything more!
